Abstract

This Thesis is described the regional variation of fertility and its proximate determinants of fertility in Indonesia. There are variations of high TFR between the western of Indonesia and low TFR in the eastern of Indonesia. These variations mostly due to the variations of contraceptive use in Indonesia. But in advance the variations of proportion of married and postpartum infecundability not quite shown the variations. This thesis uses GIS to present and analyze the regional variations of TFR and the indices of proximate determinants.
