Abstract

This research discusses the locally based energy development in increasing energy accessibility in rural/remote areas. The key success factors, actors and community participation are explored. To get optimal benefit for rural community, rural energy planning might be decentralized, integrated to other rural development and villagers are drawn in decision making.
