Abstract
This thesis studies the efficiency of Dutch urban planning policiy in fighting retail vacancy. It explores the different measurements the Dutch municipalities can take in order to decrease the inner city retail vacancy. Next, using a difference in difference method this study investigates the efficiency of these measurements. No efficient measurements against retail vacancy were found in this analysis.
