Abstract
To sustain the long-term competitiveness of Renesse as a holiday destination, the tourism product that the seaside resort offers should be diversified. The Moermond estate is a cultural heritage site located at the edge of the village centre. It remains rather unkown, partially because of the fact that it is hidden behind the trees. This research project investigates to what extent and in which ways the Moermond estate could be made more widely known and more attractive to visit in order to contribute to tourists' overall holiday experience to ultimately enhance the competitiveness of Renesse as a versatile holiday destination.
