Abstract

The increased movement of Polish workers around Europe has gathered the attention of many. Since this is a recent development it is unknown what the future migration plans of these people are. This thesis investigates this topic while paying close attention to the role of social networks. It turns out that married people with children act differently from single people without children. Moreover, people with larger social networks in The Netherlands are happier at their jobs, and are less likely to return to Poland in the future.
