Abstract

This paper describes the effect of the cultural identity of second generation migrants in the Netherlands on tempo aspects of fertility by comparing three states of assimilation (low preservation, moderate preservation, high preservation). Analyses could be done using retrospective survey data, from the TIES-project. Identification and language preservation of second generation migrants affect tempo aspects of fertility.
