Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the important influences of proximate and socioeconomic factors on under age five mortality. In addition, the study examined the probability of survival and dying of under age five children in the country. The study applied Kaplan-Meier methods and multivariate logistic regression analysis of the 2000 Ethiopian Demographic and Health Survey data.
