Abstract
Dit paper geeft een beschrijving van veranderingen in grondgebruik in dorpen in de overgangszone tussen stad en platteland in Dharwad. Veranderingen in grondgebruik in de rural-urban fringe worden veroorzaakt door de groei van de stad, waardoor nieuwe urbane landgebruikvormen opkomen en traditionele agrarische grondgebruiken terrein verliezen aan commerciele landbouw.
