Abstract
This thesis studies forest utilization practices within the perspective of sustainable forest management and sustainability concept. The thesis concludes that current forest utilization practices are emphasized on economical growth but limited recognition on carrying capacity of forest regeneration and social aspects of forests. Proposed recommendations are recalculation of forest resource’s carrying capacity in order to support economic growth in forestry sector and establishment of customary right and property of community in and around the forests.
