Abstract

In this master thesis regional differences and patterns in mortality and in the socio-economic status are being discovered by visualizing cause-specific death data and GDP-data in GIS at NUTS2 level in Europe. The association between mortality and the socio-economic status is being studied by using correlation analysis and scatterplots.
