Abstract
This study shed light on the relationship of subjective well-being and basic needs of the elderly. Results showed that elderly were deprived of their material needs whereas these needs had no relationship with the SWB of the elderly. On the other hand reverse relationship was observed for the non material needs. Moreover, no hierarchy among the needs was discovered.
