Abstract
In recent decades household formations have changed. Divorce rates are rising, and children are increasingly living with a single parent or a parent with a new partner. In the following research paper, the differences in the emotional well-being of children living in different household formation will be discussed. Furthermore, the influence of socioeconomic status (SES) of the family on the emotional well-being of their children is the central topic. Additionally, the research will also focus on the differences in high and low SES of mothers and fathers on the emotional well-being of their children. The central question is: How does the socioeconomic status of different household formations influence the emotional well-being of a child?.
