Abstract

In this thesis the relationship between socioeconomic status of neighbourhoods and the planning of road infrastructure projects in the Netherlands is explored and how this may be expressed in road integration measures. It is investigated how stakeholder management and participation processes may affect this relationship. Additionally, a value judgement is made on the outcomes of the exploration in a social justice perspective. Finally, different recommendations are formulated on how to make the participation process, stakeholder management and its outcomes more just.
