Abstract

This study aims at identifying the choices and decisions of highly educated women with regard to working after giving birth, and the reasons behind these choices and decisions. And at getting insight in the role of the partner, the social environment, policy measures and the life course in the decision making process of highly educated women, concerning working after giving birth. Twenty in-depth interviews were conducted amongst working mothers and stay-at-home mothers.
