Abstract

This thesis investigates differences in attitudes towards immigration and the role of immigration policy context. It examines the extent to which level of education is related to a negative opinion on immigration based on an economic interpretation or a cultural interpretation, and whether this differs depending on the policy context for Germany and the United Kingdom.
