In such a backdrop, using content analysis and qualitative interviews the study explores if existing structure of urban governance of Bangladesh consider climate induced migration and its aftermath. The paper argues that institution influences the decision making approach and participation and thus affect the coverage of the issue of climate induced migration in the provision of the concerned organizations. Having analyzed the contents of the relevant policies the study demonstrates that there is no particular provision in these policy documents to address the livelihood generation of the climate induced migrants and also their voice also remain unheard for their very limited access and participation in urban governance. date: 2014 date_type: published thesis_type: master degree_programme: EIP tutors_name: Beaumont, J.; Putra keywords_local: Institution keywords_local: Participation keywords_local: Climate induced migration keywords_local: Policy language_iso: en titleorder: Role of Institution in Addressing Climate Induced Migration in Urban Governance dbi: 5405cbcecee62 imported_item: yes date_of_import: 2020-04-22 imported_from: http://scripties.frw.eldoc.ub.rug.nl/root/ma/EIP/2014/bdutta/ import_source_file: theses-frw-20200422132454-5405cbcecee62.xml date_issued: 2014-01-01 citation: Dutta, Bipasha (2014) Role of Institution in Addressing Climate Induced Migration in Urban Governance.
