While these participants saw improvement in their condition, participants in the city saw a decline mainly due to fatigue. The fatigue proved to be a crucial factor for all forms of mobility. It was mainly the product of two factors, i.e. overstimulation due to auditive and visual stimuli, and cognitive impairment such as shorter attention spans and reduced concentration. This caused a downward spiral inducing exponentially more fatigue, which reportedly was present while driving. Due to overstimulation the participants reported not using public transport, since it induced extensive amounts of fatigue caused by overcrowded stations, buses and trains. date: 2018 date_type: published thesis_type: bachelor degree_programme: SGP tutors_name: Meijering, L. tutors_name: Haas, B. de keywords_local: stroke keywords_local: disability keywords_local: disabilities keywords_local: cognitive keywords_local: mobility keywords_local: stroke survivor language_iso: en titleorder: Mobility of stroke survivors with cognitive disabilities dbi: 5b599d9939310 imported_item: yes date_of_import: 2020-04-22 imported_from: http://scripties.frw.eldoc.ub.rug.nl/root/ba/SGP/2018/sghenam/ import_source_file: theses-frw-20200422132455-5b599d9939310.xml date_issued: 2018-01-01 citation: Ghenam, S.
