        abstract = {This research aims to assess whether the ecotourism practices in disaster-prone conservation area fulfil the ideal ecotourism criteria. And then, the underlying governance determining ecotourism practices in the area is studied to explain the importance of governance in realising ideal ecotourism practices. Furthermore, the research is intended to fill the gap of knowledge in the ecotourism literature because this offers a new insight where ecotourism criteria will be used to assess uncommon character of tourism destinations (disaster-prone prone conservation area) whilst ideal ecosystem criteria are constructed and are mainly used to test normal character of tourism destinations.}
