%T The Place to Be: A Quantitative Analysis of Corporate Headquarters Locations in Large European Cities

%X This research further expands the existing literature on location strategies of large corporates. Most of the existing research focuses on either an economic-, company- or location perspective from a single country or region. This research combines all these factors into one model and focuses on a multi- country and multi-city perspective. First, the odds of headquarters being located in a particular city has been tested, international connectivity and institutional quality are found to have a positive influence on these odds. Second, given the fact that headquarters are present in a particular city, the influence of variables on the number of headquarters is tested. Again, the earlier mentioned variables are found to have a significant positive influence.
