As it is a single case study, the case is the Twente airport - area development plan, wherein over 30 public organizations jointly developed a alternative plan without an airport, trough the use of the T-Xchange serious game. Multiple effects of features of serious games toward characteristics of public participation were found. Especially interaction and collaboration, together with knowledge building, seemed to benefit from the use of such a serious game as an innovative tool to involve public actors within a spatial planning process date: 2013 date_type: published thesis_type: master degree_programme: EIP tutors_name: Rauws, W. keywords_local: pps keywords_local: public participation keywords_local: planning support systems keywords_local: serious game keywords_local: serious gaming language_iso: en titleorder: effects of Serious Gaming on public participation in spatial planning dbi: 50fe6cc5ca168 imported_item: yes date_of_import: 2020-04-22 imported_from: http://scripties.frw.eldoc.ub.rug.nl/root/ma/EIP/2013/jjansen/ import_source_file: theses-frw-20200422132453-50fe6cc5ca168.xml date_issued: 2013-01-01 citation: Jansen, J.
