Using a mapping based questionnaire, residents of Amsterdam were surveyed about their life satisfaction, feelings of belonging in Amsterdam, and their leisure habits and locations. Collectively, the findings from this research suggest that the physical presence of amenities alone is too narrow of a focus for understanding their influence on the life satisfaction and place belonging of Amsterdam residents. Rather, satisfaction with how free time is spent and where activities occur are important factors to consider as part of the relationship between leisure and place belonging and/or subjective well-being. date: 2019 date_type: published thesis_type: master degree_programme: CG tutors_name: Weitkamp, G. tutors_name: Groote, P. keywords_local: Sense of Belonging keywords_local: Life satisfaction keywords_local: Place language_iso: en titleorder: Exploring the Influence of Leisure Participation on Subjective Well- Being and Place Belonging: The role of leisure opportunities and personality dbi: 5d95b3aeda0e9 imported_item: yes date_of_import: 2020-04-22 imported_from: http://scripties.frw.eldoc.ub.rug.nl/root/ma/CG/2019/aspullara/ import_source_file: theses-frw-20200422132455-5d95b3aeda0e9.xml date_issued: 2019-01-01 citation: Pullara, Avery S.
