Data on ERP and CRM adoption rates for ten NACE Rev. 2 industries in 26 European countries is analyzed using descriptive statistics and a multivariate regression method. Results show that country, industry and time effects explain most of the variation in ERP and CRM adoption. The effect of various IT adoption drivers is different for Real estate and construction industries. Compared to other industries, increased competitiveness enhances ERP and CRM adoption to a larger extent in Real estate and construction industries. Also, in contrast to other industries, increased urban density stimulates IT adoption in Real estate and construction industries. Findings show that the effect of employment protection and strong institutions is larger for ERP adoption compared to CRM date: 2020 type: Thesis type: NonPeerReviewed format: text language: en identifier: https://frw.studenttheses.ub.rug.nl/1427/1/MT_Final_Version_Cas_Ruiken.pdf identifier: Ruiken, C.P.H.
