Main conclusion is that the government isn’t actually in a transition, from a scientific point of view. The government is busy with top-down, centralized designed and implemented policy, while calling it a transition. The main mistake the government makes is to take too much control, and leave too little space for the local level to operate in a way that they want. The government needs to think about the way they position themselves in relation to what their actual goals are in order to make the energy transition. date: 2015 type: Thesis type: NonPeerReviewed format: text language: en identifier: https://frw.studenttheses.ub.rug.nl/1430/1/Master_Thesis_C_Smit.pdf identifier: Smit, C.
