Attractive green area presence in the living environment is measured by a distance-weighted size index regarding all attractive green areas within 2.5 kilometers from property. Dutch housing data are used, providing 65,268 observations that describe properties’ values, characteristics and the disposable income level of households. Estimates of households’ willingness to pay for a marginal increase in attractive green area are compared to estimates for households’ willingness to pay for a marginal increase in green area. The findings reported in this study will be useful to spatial planning. date: 2011 date_type: published thesis_type: master degree_programme: VG tutors_name: Vlist, A. van der keywords_local: hedonic model keywords_local: attractive green area keywords_local: property value keywords_local: distance-weighted size index language_iso: en titleorder: Households' willingness to pay for attractive green areas dbi: 4e8aecb2b9bbc imported_item: yes date_of_import: 2020-04-22 imported_from: http://scripties.frw.eldoc.ub.rug.nl/root/ma/VG/2011/mndaams/ import_source_file: theses-frw-20200422132453-4e8aecb2b9bbc.xml date_issued: 2011-01-01 citation: Daams, M.N.
