To do so, the Andersen behavioural model of healthcare service use is adapted to antenatal HIV testing use (secondary aim) and then applied to achieve the study primary aim. Guided mainly by scientific review of past literature, the adapted Andersen behavioural model (AABM) comprises of the three traditional explanatory measures namely, the predisposing, enabling and need factors as well as the HIV stigma and desire for HIV testing (the newly introduced concepts). The empirical analysis employs a multilevel modelling approach using the 2013 Nigeria Demographic and Health Survey with a sample size of 5,164 pregnant women who gave birth between 2011 and 2013, attended ANC during the pregnancy and were offered HIV testing. date: 2015 date_type: published thesis_type: master degree_programme: POPST tutors_name: Duijn M.V, tutors_name: Darak S., keywords_local: Andersen behavioural model keywords_local: Pregnant women keywords_local: Antenatal HIV testing keywords_local: Multilevel modelling keywords_local: Nigeria language_iso: en titleorder: Adapting and Applying the Anderson’s Behavioural Model to Understand Factors Influencing Uptake of Antenatal-Integrated HIV Testing in Nigeria: A Multilevel Analysis dbi: 55d5cb230ad6f imported_item: yes date_of_import: 2020-04-22 imported_from: http://scripties.frw.eldoc.ub.rug.nl/root/ma/PopSt/2015/oaadebayo/ import_source_file: theses-frw-20200422132454-55d5cb230ad6f.xml date_issued: 2015-01-01 citation: Adebayo, O.
