Although the neo-liberal ideas cannot change the whole nature of the planning system, this paper shows that these ideas tend to fragment the planning system and their influences raise some conflicts with the existing institutional-cultural forces. This research recommends that the ideas of rule of law and decentralisation promoted by the neo-liberalism should be encouraged in order to develop a more effective planning system in Indonesia. date: 2006 date_type: published thesis_type: master degree_programme: EIP tutors_name: Woltjer, J. keywords_local: spatial planning system keywords_local: institutional-cultural forces keywords_local: neo-liberal ideas keywords_local: globalisation keywords_local: Indonesia language_iso: en titleorder: Institution, Culture and Neo-liberalism: Reshaping Planning System in the Transitional Indonesia dbi: 455dc61463293 imported_item: yes date_of_import: 2020-04-22 imported_from: http://scripties.frw.eldoc.ub.rug.nl/root/ma/EIP/2006/05152/ import_source_file: theses-frw-20200422132452-455dc61463293.xml date_issued: 2006-01-01 citation: Hudalah, D.
