%X In this research the disappearing of 3 places (Heveskes, Weiwerd and Oterdum) is investigated. The research uses the concept of sense of place to find out how 15 ex-inhabitants saw their village when it still existed and how they see it now. It becomes clear that the inhabitants have positive feelings about their former village, but the place where the villages used to be are experienced as negative
