The Capability Assessment for Readiness developed by FEMA and NEMA in the USA is used as the analytical base for this research.Criteria are set by connecting the functions of management (Terry, 1975) with the institutional capacity (Khakee, 2002). The information analyzed under this model is synthesized from interviews, documents, internet sources, and observations of the researcher. Descriptive analysis is used to explain the capacity related to the flood management. Findings of this research show that the local government of Cirebon Municipality has higher capacity in social capital and in planning function of the flood management. Meanwhile, the other management function still needs to be raised. date: 2012 date_type: published thesis_type: master degree_programme: EIP tutors_name: Woltjer, Johan keywords_local: municipality of Cirebon keywords_local: local government keywords_local: flood risk management keywords_local: capacity assessment keywords_local: disaster mitigation language_iso: en titleorder: Assessment of Local Government Capacity in Managing Flood (Case study: Municipality of Cirebon, West Java, Indonesia) dbi: 50d03c21d3520 imported_item: yes date_of_import: 2020-04-22 imported_from: http://scripties.frw.eldoc.ub.rug.nl/root/ma/EIP/2012/ypermana/ import_source_file: theses-frw-20200422132453-50d03c21d3520.xml date_issued: 2012-01-01 citation: Permana, Yusnita (2012) An Assessment of Local Government Capacity in Managing Flood (Case study: Municipality of Cirebon, West Java, Indonesia).
