Activities result in increasing transportation flows into centres. The city as a 'place to be' demands for a liveable and attractive centre in which these transportation flows are undesired. Here, a discrepancy arises. Furthermore, the European Commission mandates cities to have a zero-emission zone in city centres by 2030. In order to reach this objective, public authorities have to cooperate with private parties in the logistic sector. This research consists of a multiple case-study into sustainable city logistic initiatives in order to determine the prerequisites for and the role of the government in public-private cooperation within the transition towards sustainable city logistics. date: 2019 date_type: published thesis_type: master degree_programme: EIP tutors_name: Niekerk, F. keywords_local: cooperation, roles of the government keywords_local: transition theory, governance, zero-emission, sustainable ci language_iso: en titleorder: Role of public-private cooperation in the transition towards a new socio-technical system based on sustainable city logistics: an analysis of initiatives in historical G40 cities in the Netherlands dbi: 5d8b62ab85652 imported_item: yes date_of_import: 2020-04-22 imported_from: http://scripties.frw.eldoc.ub.rug.nl/root/ma/EIP/2019/hlmkoedijk/ import_source_file: theses-frw-20200422132455-5d8b62ab85652.xml date_issued: 2019-01-01 description_company: Royal HaskoningDHV citation: Koedijk, H.L.M.
