In order to assess the effect of the reopening a village on the route, Kiel-Windeweer, was studied. This study included not only the economic effects like number of businesses and the succes thereof, but also cultural and social effects such as sense of place, valuation and identity. Although the potential effect of the reopening was studied using multiple measures, it seems that the effect has been minimal and as such the project has not delivered the projected benefits for the village. The effect on the entire region however remains insufficiently studied. date: 2020 date_type: published thesis_type: master degree_programme: CG tutors_name: Strijker, D. keywords_local: Regional Identity keywords_local: Rural Entrepreneurship keywords_local: Rural Development keywords_local: Sense of Place language_iso: en titleorder: Spatial Intervention in Rural Development: The Case of Kiel-Windeweer dbi: 5e54d8a45893d imported_item: yes date_of_import: 2020-04-22 imported_from: http://scripties.frw.eldoc.ub.rug.nl/root/ma/CG/2020/jdankert/ import_source_file: theses-frw-20200422132455-5e54d8a45893d.xml date_issued: 2020-01-01 citation: Dankert, Johan (2020) Spatial Intervention in Rural Development: The Case of Kiel-Windeweer.
