The structures of both, the community and the ecosystems, are influenced by projects dealing with the development of new options for a sustainable land use management. This paper proclaims the use of a progressive method: the integrated assessment of the ecosystem service approach and the social impact assessment. This provides a combination of natural and social sciences. The developed model optimizes decision-making processes by improving the evaluation of the ecosystem services and leading to a better understanding of human well-being. Capturing the perceptions of local stakeholders and using the multiple trade-off analysis from other scenarios, ecosystem services are evaluated in a socio-economic and (socio-) ecological framework. Scientific and practical implications contribute to a multi-functional land management. date: 2011 date_type: published thesis_type: master degree_programme: EIP tutors_name: Woltjer, Prof. Dr. J keywords_local: Ecosystem services, social impacts, social impact assessment language_iso: en titleorder: Stakeholder participation in integrative planning for sustainable land use management – an assessment framework combining ecosystem services and social impact analysis dbi: 4ef1ed82a036f imported_item: yes date_of_import: 2020-04-22 imported_from: http://scripties.frw.eldoc.ub.rug.nl/root/ma/EIP/2011/lkarrasch/ import_source_file: theses-frw-20200422132453-4ef1ed82a036f.xml date_issued: 2011-01-01 citation: Karrasch, L (2011) Stakeholder participation in integrative planning for sustainable land use management – an assessment framework combining ecosystem services and social impact analysis.
