abstract: Een onderzoek naar het effect dat toerisme heeft op het veranderen van een landmark met betrekking tot place identity. Nadat een landmark verandert door het toedoen van toerisme zijn er in ieder geval drie mogelijke effecten op place identity. Mensen beginnen zich nog sterker te identificeren met de oude geografische locatie, mensen beginnen zich te identificeren met de nieuwe uitgekozen locatie, mensen zoeken een geheel nieuwe locatie op om zich mee te identificeren. De mate van interactie met de locatie is bij deze identificatie van significant belang.
