This approach is conflicting with the traditional approach, since it involves a new way of working and a shift in roles for the involved parties. This is leading to difficulties and tensions. This research is investigating where these tensions lie by looking at the institutional landscape of ODS and the case of Woldwijk, the Netherlands, located in the dynamic peri-urban area. this research shows that the focus on legal arrengements instead of actions, ambugities regarding positions, roles and responsibilities, and differences in perspectives are leading to tensions which may constrain the operationalization of an ODS in practice. It is important to deal with these tensions as this can make or break the project. date: 2018 date_type: published thesis_type: master degree_programme: EIP keywords_local: Organic development keywords_local: ODS keywords_local: Civic initiatives keywords_local: Peri-urban area keywords_local: Bottom-up development keywords_local: Institutions keywords_local: IAD-Framework language_iso: nl titleorder: Institutional Analysis of Organic Development Strategies: The case of Woldwijk, Ten Boer, the Netherlands dbi: 5aeae9b42e2f0 imported_item: yes date_of_import: 2020-04-22 imported_from: http://scripties.frw.eldoc.ub.rug.nl/root/ma/EIP/2018/mhsknoop/ import_source_file: theses-frw-20200422132455-5aeae9b42e2f0.xml date_issued: 2018-01-01 citation: Knoop, M.H.S.
