Despite the numerous microfinance project evaluations, knowledge of the effects on non-participating community members is limited. This thesis explores the spillover effects of microfinance projects on the community level. To do this, a Tanzanian project for smallholder farmers is analysed. Panel survey data and qualitative interviews show that the project generates some small spillovers, especially through sharing of knowledge and by increasing community involvement and labour hiring. date: 2017 date_type: published thesis_type: master degree_programme: EG tutors_name: Edzes, A.J.E. keywords_local: Smallholder farmers keywords_local: Tanzania keywords_local: Spillover effects keywords_local: Microfinance keywords_local: Economic wellbeing language_iso: en titleorder: Spillovers in Microfinance: The case of Tanzanian smallholder farmers and their community dbi: 5893176315b60 imported_item: yes date_of_import: 2020-04-22 imported_from: http://scripties.frw.eldoc.ub.rug.nl/root/ma/EG/2017/wamoudevrielink/ import_source_file: theses-frw-20200422132454-5893176315b60.xml date_issued: 2017-01-01 description_company: BRAC Tanzania citation: Oude Vrielink, W.A.M.
