This has been done by interviewing 4 Dutch CSOs: ActionAid, WECF, WO=MEN and Women Inc.. Women's empowerment can happen by challenging gendered stereoptypes, lobbying for gender inclusive policy and CSOs advocating for women's rights. CSOs work most effectively when cooperating in networks or alliances on gender equality projects and lobby-work on Dutch level, and on European and United Nations level. date: 2019 date_type: published thesis_type: bachelor degree_programme: SGP tutors_name: Zhao, Y. keywords_local: CSO keywords_local: Civil Society Organizations keywords_local: Women empowerment keywords_local: Gender equality language_iso: en titleorder: CSOs & women empowerment dbi: 5d42b49d57c51 imported_item: yes date_of_import: 2020-04-22 imported_from: http://scripties.frw.eldoc.ub.rug.nl/root/ba/SGP/2019/jastam/ import_source_file: theses-frw-20200422132455-5d42b49d57c51.xml date_issued: 2019-01-01 citation: Stam, J.A.
