In 2003 and a evevated expressway in the city of Seoul was torn down and replaced by the Cheonggyecheon stream. In this thesis, the main stakeholders involved in the project are analyzed. Besides that, the spatial-economic characteristics of the research area (Seoul CBD) are analyzed and compared with the characteristics of the area prior to the stream restoration. Finally the thesis tries to determine the impact of the project on the image of the local environment.
