Therefore, understanding whether certain socio-economic or demographic groups are disadvantaged in terms of their food envrionment could improve the general health of the population. Multiple regressions and graphical analyses with various measurements for food access are used to determine a relationship in the Netherlands. Generally, food access improves with higher percentages of elderly people or migrants. However, a lower average neighbourhood income is associated with worse supermarket access. date: 2019 date_type: published thesis_type: master degree_programme: EG tutors_name: Ballas, D. keywords_local: Supermarket Distribution keywords_local: Equity of Food Access keywords_local: Supermarkets keywords_local: Food Access keywords_local: Socio-economic factors language_iso: nl titleorder: Equity of Food Access in the Netherlands: Associations of Supermarket outlet exposure with socioeconomic and demographic characteristics dbi: 5e3c04f4ecffe imported_item: yes date_of_import: 2020-04-22 imported_from: http://scripties.frw.eldoc.ub.rug.nl/root/ma/EG/2019/ltiemann/ import_source_file: theses-frw-20200422132455-5e3c04f4ecffe.xml date_issued: 2019-01-01 citation: Tiemann, Lukas (2019) Equity of Food Access in the Netherlands: Associations of Supermarket outlet exposure with socioeconomic and demographic characteristics.
