Collective private commissioning (CPC) represents the Dutch version of building together within cohousing. Since CPC is a new concept it can push planners and spatial planning to change. The aim of this thesis was to analyse, based upon the concept of self-organization, the possible change that cohousing has on planning and the role of the planning official. The results provide planning officials at the level of the municipality an understanding of the difference between cohousing and housing. It also provides suggestions for the planner to adapt to cohousing. date: 2012 date_type: published thesis_type: master degree_programme: EIP tutors_name: Hartman, S. keywords_local: Governance keywords_local: Cohousing keywords_local: Collective private commissioning keywords_local: Self-organization keywords_local: Participation keywords_local: Urban housing language_iso: en titleorder: Self-organization in the urban environment: a planner's adaptation to cohousing dbi: 50cf19d85ae12 imported_item: yes date_of_import: 2020-04-22 imported_from: http://scripties.frw.eldoc.ub.rug.nl/root/ma/EIP/2012/mzandvoort/ import_source_file: theses-frw-20200422132453-50cf19d85ae12.xml date_issued: 2012-01-01 citation: Zandvoort, M.
