%X Within the Netherlands most synthetic drug waste is being dumped in the province of NorthBrabant, which brings along great health risks and societal problems. The province of NorthBrabant has been compared with the province of Groningen interviewing various involved parties in the dumping synthetic drug waste problem to find possible explanations for the geographical difference in dumping locations to gain a deeper understanding of this problem. The main results show that a variety of factors determined the concentration of dumping's being located in North-Brabant: foremost path-dependency.
