As a consequence, the retail mix is under pressure. Previous literature has proven that the retail mix has a big influence on rents. However these studies only focus on the effects of retail mix on the scale of the entire shopping centre, while a focus on the lower scale could help real estate managers to strategically place tenants within the shopping centre. This master thesis focusses on finding the ideal retail mix on a lower scale within shopping centres. After executing various linear regression models it became clear that there is a difference in location dependency of different shopping segments. So-called heterogeneous shops (clothes) seems to be influenced by both retail mix and proximity of competitors. Homogeneous shops are less location dependent.} }
