        abstract = {This study examines the relationship between childhood residential mobility and early adult mental health. Findings from previous research indicate a significant relationship between the two, even when accounting for various confounders. Important confounders include family structure, parental separation, and socio-economic status. This study uses data from the German Socio-Economic Panel (SOEP) to analyse the relationship between recorded moves during childhood and Mental Summary Score using the SF-12v2 questionnaire, with a specific focus on the role of family (dys)function and structure as a mediating variable. Results from the data analysis show no significant relationship between childhood residential mobility and early adult mental health, with only gender and number of siblings found to be significantly correlated with mental health outcomes. As these results contradict most of the literature on the topic, a re-evaluation of previous findings on this research topic may be suggested. However, due to methodological and sample limitations of the data analysis, any results are to be interpreted with extreme caution.}
