The study incorporates in-depth interviews, maptionnaires and walking interviews with in-situ photographs to establish intricate place-based narratives. Based on the results, accessibility to diverse landscapes is not only from the perspective of actual distance, but also from the ability of therapeutic mobility and can also be enhanced through sitting areas. Moreover, therapeutic landscapes also enable restorative time through various passive and active interactions that overall also strengthens the individual’s sense of place. The paper also concludes with implications for mixed-method and longitudinal research and incorporating the capability approach along with therapeutic landscapes in future planning practices.
