Based on a mix of quantitative and qualitative research methods it can be concluded that TOD does occur to a certain degree along the Valley Metro Rail and that it will likely take place along future segments of the light rail system. However, there seems to be a mismatch between the results from a series of semi-structured interviews and a series of GIS analyses. Many of the interviewed stakeholders stated that there have been many strong positive effects of the light rail on TOD, whereas the quantitative research mainly shows that these effects have not yet taken place. date: 2019 date_type: published thesis_type: master degree_programme: EG tutors_name: Steen, P.J.M. van keywords_local: Suburbanisation keywords_local: Light Rail Transit keywords_local: Transit Oriented Development (TOD) keywords_local: Sustainability language_iso: en titleorder: Transit Oriented Development and the Valley Metro Rail dbi: 5dcbef5c9f0b5 imported_item: yes date_of_import: 2020-04-22 imported_from: http://scripties.frw.eldoc.ub.rug.nl/root/ma/EG/2019/dhofman/ import_source_file: theses-frw-20200422132455-5dcbef5c9f0b5.xml date_issued: 2019-01-01 citation: Hofman, D.
