%X This study systematically explores the utilisation, perception, and alignment of public square design and facilities with the needs and aspirations of the inhabitants of a rural village in South-east Drenthe. Employing a mixed-methods approach, this research integrates an analysis of movement patterns and the typology of activities engaged in by users of the space, alongside comprehensive long-form surveys and in-situ observational methodologies.
