The equitable access to these public green spaces was analyzed on the basis of ‘objective quantity’ and ‘subjective quality’. For ‘objective quantity’ the research revealed funding disparities based on acreage, highlighting inequities in resource allocation. The municipality's intended modifications of policy in the low SES neighborhood suggest steps to address these disparities, but these measures are still pending completion. Furthermore regarding the ‘subjective quality’, in the survey, significant disparities were revealed in residents' perceptions of neighborhood disadvantage. Selwerd residents, a low SES neighborhood, reported feeling disadvantaged in both quantity and quality. The research concludes for the main research question: 'In what ways does equitable access to green spaces impact urban justice in diverse neighborhoods in Groningen?' that disparities in funding and residents' perceptions of disadvantage highlight the importance of addressing these inequalities for enhanced urban justice.
