It seems likely that those who are successful with integrating are more successful in self-employment as well. A survey is used to analyse the relation between ethnic diversity in the social networks of self-employed Poles and their success. Though the sample size is small (12 unique respondents) and the results are not statistically significant, it is in line with the expectation that a social network with a high share of locals positively affects the likelihood of success. date: 2019 date_type: published thesis_type: master degree_programme: EG tutors_name: Koster, S. keywords_local: Polish community Berlin keywords_local: Ethnic diversity keywords_local: Self-employment keywords_local: Migration keywords_local: Migrant entrepreneurship language_iso: en titleorder: Ethnic diversity in social networks and the success of self-employed migrants. dbi: 5dcbe66352408 imported_item: yes date_of_import: 2020-04-22 imported_from: http://scripties.frw.eldoc.ub.rug.nl/root/ma/EG/2019/aiwentzel/ import_source_file: theses-frw-20200422132455-5dcbe66352408.xml date_issued: 2019-01-01 citation: Wentzel, A.I.
