The data is analysed with the aid of tourist gaze theory (Urry, 1991). The tourist gaze consists of 5 categories: ?daily life activities?, ?signs?, ?senses?, ?unique elements? and ?unique objects?. The most important findings: 68% of the respondents had a clear perception of the Israel-Palestine conflict before they visited Israel and while visiting Israel.
