One of the national economies with the most important impact was the Greek one which since 2008 has met the worst period and conditions of its recent history. Crisis affected all the sectors in Greek economy but not in the same way across space: regions were affected in different rate, with different speed and from different factors. One of the sectors with the most negative impact was this of employment; unemployment in Greece increased more than 200% in 4 years. This research studies the impact of crisis on Greek Regional Development and focuses on Greek Regional Unemployment evolution. date: 2012 date_type: published thesis_type: master degree_programme: RS tutors_name: McCann, P. keywords_local: unemployment keywords_local: Greece keywords_local: region keywords_local: crisis keywords_local: development language_iso: en titleorder: Geographies of unemployment and regional inequalities in Greece in the context of current crisis dbi: 50cf1d0977c6b imported_item: yes date_of_import: 2020-04-22 imported_from: http://scripties.frw.eldoc.ub.rug.nl/root/ma/RS/2012/nkapitsinis/ import_source_file: theses-frw-20200422132453-50cf1d0977c6b.xml date_issued: 2012-01-01 description_company: University of Groningen citation: Kapitsinis, Nikolaos (2012) Geographies of unemployment and regional inequalities in Greece in the context of current crisis.
