This research projects forms one of three different studies on the theme ‘’tourism in the next generation’’. This study is about the effects of wind energy on tourism and the main question is: ''How is wind energy affecting tourism in the Harlingen, Bolsward and Makkum triangle area in the Netherlands and how can negative effects be prevented?’’ To answer the main question a mixed approach of in-depth interviews and a survey among tourists in the area itself is used. Interviews are conducted with organisation and people dealing with tourism and recreation. The survey was meant to provide an insight in what tourists themselves think about wind energy on their holiday destination. date: 2013 date_type: published thesis_type: bachelor degree_programme: TP tutors_name: Strijker, D. tutors_name: van Steen, P. keywords_local: Impact keywords_local: Tourism keywords_local: Windenergy keywords_local: Windpower keywords_local: Netherlands language_iso: en titleorder: Wind energy and tourism: Can they get along? dbi: 521f3eb1c2dc1 imported_item: yes date_of_import: 2020-04-22 imported_from: http://scripties.frw.eldoc.ub.rug.nl/root/ba/TP/2013/tjhartholt/ import_source_file: theses-frw-20200422132454-521f3eb1c2dc1.xml date_issued: 2013-01-01 citation: Hartholt, T.J.
