N2  - This study aims to answer the question of how women who use dating applications to find a (sexual) partner perceive their own safety on the internet as well as when meeting their potential partner in real life. The importance of the perception of safety and its influence on geography has been outlined by Valentine which stated that women negotiate strategies to cope with fear and adapt their geographies to minimalize risks.
